Silverstone awaits

After a breakthrough weekend in Scotland, the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB now heads to one of the UK’s most iconic venues: Silverstone.  Round 5 takes place on the fast and flowing National circuit, and with momentum on our side, it promises to be another exciting weekend.

At Knockhill, we claimed our first victory of the season, backed it up with another win on the road, and proved beyond doubt that we have the pace to fight at the front.  Those results have moved us up to second in the championship standings, level on points with Joe Marshall and within striking distance of leader Tom Bradshaw.

Silverstone National is short but demanding.  At just under two miles in length, it combines high-speed corners with long straights where momentum is everything.  It’s also one of the widest tracks we race at this year, which should allow for plenty of overtaking opportunities!

Driver’s words

“Knockhill proved to everyone that we have everything needed to fight for wins.  Silverstone is a circuit I really enjoy, with good results there last year in the wet, as well as a strong pre-season test earlier this year.  Hopefully, we can carry that form, and the momentum from Knockhill, into the final two rounds of the season.”

With Silverstone and the finale at Brands Hatch still to come, the championship fight is reaching its climax.  Consistency will be crucial but so will seizing every opportunity on track.
